“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.
Serving in the capacity of the Head Girl of the school today, I can vouch for the truth of this statement. Every achievement that I cherish whether as a student, or otherwise is a result of my courage to dream, and of the firm belief that I had the ability to make my dreams come true.
And so, dear friends, you need to dream until your dreams come true because I believe that we all have the capacity to shine like a star and burn brighter than the Sun. I would advise you to do the same do not be afraid of pursuing your dreams, however impossible they may seem.
But at the same time, we must always uphold our values and principles, even though this is becoming an increasingly difficult task in the present world of degenerating morals. Our accomplishments simply cannot come at the cost of our values. We must constantly endeavour to live in the light of the vision of our Mother Foundress, St. Claudine— for that is the quintessence of every CJMite’s character.
My address would be incomplete if, on behalf of the entire Student Council, I do not thank the school management, once again, for believing in us, and giving us the immense responsibility that we shoulder today. It will be our solemn effort to carry out our duties to the best of our ability, and do all we can to “hold high the torch”!

“Seek rooms to glorify our Alma Mater and learn to realize your dreams, you will truly emerge as
winners!”
To be appointed the Head Girl of CJM was a dream which turned into reality. And my message
to each and every CJMite is:
To reach the unreachable stars,
To dream the impossible dreams,
To tread the untrodden paths,
To right the unrightable wrongs,
To heal wounds and scars through love,
To burn brighter than the Sun!
This is your quest,
To follow the star,
No matter how hopeless,
No matter how far!
Hold High The Torch and Keep It Burning!

Being the HeadGirl of the school , I am often asked about the characteristics that make a CJMite stand out. At this, I am reminded of Albert Camus who wrote :
“In the midst of winter, i found, there was within me, an invincible summer.”
That, is who a CJMite is.
The summer of hope in despair.
The summer of care in disease.
The summer of compassion in misery.
The summer of dauntlessness in fear.
The summer of confidence and foresightedness in moments of indecision.
And above all, the summer of love in hate.
That is who we strive to become each day, each moment, unbent and unburnt by the impediments before us.
May you, Reader, have a pleasant association with this great institution!
Hold High The Torch!

“Indeed Leaders aren’t born, they are made”
And the student Council stands as a proof to this saying. On behalf of the entire student council, I would thank the CJM family for placing their faith in us. I have been here since I was four years old and CJM has given the best possible 13 years of my life. I would like to thank Sr.Greta for believing in us and the teachers for moulding us in such a fine manner. A massive thank you to my parents, without their support, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. It is clearly evident today that CJM has not only helped us develop academically but where it also succeeds is in creating compassionate, caring and articulate young women. Our mother foundress left behind an enduring legacy that continues to be fulfilled even today. We the student council for the year 2016-2017 promise to stand up to your expectations and are like an alchemist who has the capability of transforming vision into reality. We are CJMITES and we assure you that we will have a lasting impression wherever we go. To conclude with, these are a few lines which define a leader with masterful artistry:
“Patient and steady with all he must bear,
Ready to meet every challenge with care,
Easy in his faith, refreshingly real,
Isn’t afraid to propose what is bold,
Doesn’t conform to the usual mold.
Eyes that have foresight
For hindsight won’t do.
Never backs down when he sees what is true
Growing in strength he won’t be unnerved
Such is a leader ever assuming he will stand by his word.”

Feel it, Believe it!
Dream it, Be it!
Because this is exactly what I did.
To be nominated as the head girl of the school was a dream which is now finally fulfilled.
Dear friends, you need to dream until your dreams come true because I believe that we all have the capacity to shine like a star and burn brighter than the Sun.
I have been in CJM for more than 13 years and this school has given me everything one could ask for. I have witnessed it all, from the immense support and guidance of teachers and sisters to the care and concern of friends and classmates, from the compassion and kindness of helpers to the love of Juniors. CJM has given us all.
With the help of value education CJM creates young women who are not only capable of solving every problem, but have the power to heal wounds and scars through their kindness, compassion and love and this is exactly what our mother founders St. Claudine wished for.
My message to each and every student present here is that the future depends on what you do today, learn from yesterday and live for today. Be what you want to be and not what others want to see.
As Mahatma Gandhi rightly said," Be the change that you wish to see in the world ". Today we the council members promise to stand up to all your expectations and fulfill all our duties with complete dedications.
Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself; when you become a leader success is all about helping others to grow and that is what exactly what we aim for, to grow with you all and help each one of you.
My address would be incomplete if on behalf of the entire student council I do not thank the school management for believing in us and giving us this immense responsibility and a chance to prove our capabilities. It will be our solemn effort to carry out our duties with the best of our ability and keep our school and house coolers flying. we will make sure to hold high the torch and keep it burning.
Warm regards

“Your dream doesn’t have an expiration date, take a deep breath and try again……”
In the capacity of the Head Girl of the school, I can corroborate for the truth of this statement. Dear friends I advise you to dream of achievement because the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams!
Having been at CJM since reception, which feels both a lifetime and no time at all, I have experienced first-hand all aspects of life here. In my fourteen years as a proud CJMite, I have witnessed the school and pupils both grow and adapt in tandem, and could not imagine a better place to have spent my education. They say variety is the spice of life and CJM endorses this philosophy in every way possible. Whether one is academically inclined, an athlete, a ‘drama queen’ or creatively inspired, the school has helped us in realizing our potential…it is now your time, dear friends, to take full advantage of the opportunities which lie ahead. Remember your dreams are as hungry as your demons. Make sure you are feeding the right ones. It is only and only you who can turn your CAN’TS into CANS and your DREAMS into PLANS! And unlock the hidden treasure of you talents and abilities.
Values are those which make a Cjmite stand out from a crowd. In today’s competitive world, we must not accomplish our tasks simply at the cost of our values….but by hard work and faith as this is what we learn from our Mother Foundress St. Claudine Thevent.
As Ralph Lauren has rightly said, “A leader has a dream and conviction that a dream can be achieved. He inspires the power and energy to get it done.” The entire student council promises to abide by the truth and help you in every possible way to dig out your talents in this forthcoming year.
My address would be incomplete if, on behalf of the entire Student Council, I do not thank the school management, once again, for believing in us, and giving us the immense responsibility that we shoulder today. It will be our solemn effort to carry out our duties to the best of our ability, and do all we can to “hold high the torch”!
